The latest CNBC\/NRF Retail Monitor data shows retail sales in March grew for the sixth month in a row.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That is one of the areas where we continue to see better results actually coming out of the earnings that we&#8217;ve seen and some of the bullish flows,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I think people are sort of looking into that area \u2014thinking maybe some of those things got a little bit of punishment and that maybe there is going to be light at the end of the tunnel.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Simplify Asset Management&#8217;s Paisley Nardini is also focusing on trades that aren&#8217;t Big Tech. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have some of our flagship solutions that are going long and short in these energy, oil and broader commodity markets,&#8221; the firm&#8217;s head of multi-asset solutions said in the same interview. <\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"SpecialReportArticle-QuoteInBody-6\">WTI crude futures <span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span>settled more than 7% higher and <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"SpecialReportArticle-QuoteInBody-7\">Brent crude<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span> rose more than 6% on fresh worries Iran&#8217;s Strait of Hormuz will see a drawn-out closure. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ArticleBody-googlePreferredSourceContainer\" data-module=\"GooglePreferredSource\" data-id=\"SpecialReportArticle-GooglePreferredSource-6\">Choose CNBC as your preferred source on Google and never miss a moment from the most trusted name in business news.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wall Street is already looking beyond Big Tech quarterly results.
