Chip equipment stocks \u2014 Oracle&#8217;s higher capital expenditure spending plans sent chip equipment stocks higher. Applied Materials and Lam Research both climbed nearly 5%, while KLA rose 4% and ASML Holding added more than 3%. Navan \u2014 The stock popped 19% after the travel management platform guided for second-quarter and full-year revenue that came in above FactSet&#8217;s forecasts. Navan also reported a first-quarter non-GAAP earnings and revenue beat. Alcoa \u2014 The aluminum company added 2% following its 9.5% drop in the prior session. Morgan Stanley said the pullback Wednesday, due to pressure in Alcoa&#8217;s alumina business, was &#8220;overdone&#8221; and reiterated its buy rating on the stock. Chinese tech companies \u2014 Shares of China tech stocks fell amid concerns over regulatory scrutiny. Beijing&#8217;s watchdog, the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, said it summoned several major e-commerce platforms, the Wall Street Journal reported. U.S.-listed shares of Alibaba shed 3.5%, while JD.com lost nearly 2%. Baidu and PDD Holdings each slipped roughly 1%. Space companies \u2014 Shares of space companies popped following Wednesday&#8217;s losses and ahead of SpaceX&#8217;s initial public offering, which is expected Friday. Intuitive Machines rose nearly 5%, while Redwire , Rocket Lab and AST SpaceMobile all gained about 4%. Memory stocks \u2014 Chipmakers in the memory space climbed higher after the sector&#8217;s broad selloff Wednesday. Sandisk jumped 5%.
